The federal business sector in Australia has released the voluntary guidelines which will help companies and other government agencies to handle violation of security, which will involve the loss of sensitive information including customer data.

As per the guide, it is recommended that, when a security breach has been occurred in any business or technical area, the customers should be informed of this directly. This will help them to take steps that will avoid their identity theft or financial losses. All business and government organisations of Australia are supposed to use this as a voluntary guide, as a method to bring the policy of prevention better than cure.
